Sonique is really a stage name for British DJ, Sonia Clark.  In her personal life she used to be a gymnast, diver and runner before falling under the spell of dance music.  It wasn’t hard since she was very influenced by soul as well as disco and the result of which was a cover of ‘I Put A Spell On You’, originally by the Screamin’ Jay Hawkins.  She became heavily involved in the British Club scene becoming a DJ herself.  Her latest album Sweet Vibrations was released in 2011.  The track I selected today is super cool and so is the video I've posted below.  Check it out!

I love the cover of this album!  I guess it’s ‘put a spell on me’.  Unfortunately, credits for cover design and the art work are not listed on the record. Too bad ‘cause they seriously deserve a mention.
