London born Malcolm McLaren, besides managing the Sex Pistols and the New York Dolls, also had a very successful solo career of his own.
The record I’m presenting today was produced by him at a point when he
was dabling in electronic music. He experimented with opera and ended up pairing the two and added a twist of R&B. It resulted in the 1984 single "Madame Butterfly", based on an aria from the opera entitled: Un Bel Di Vedremo.
The cover is very stylistic featuring an androgenous figure and a gigantic Japanese fan. Enjoy the photo and the video. Many thanks to whosoever posted the video on Youtube.
