The cover of the record I picked is sick! In a good way of course. A nightmarish psychedelic apparition with some seriously psycho sexual images. The sleeve art has been drawn by Robert Williams, a renowned underground cartoonist who began his career as a contemporary to other visionaries such as R. Crumb and Rick Griffin of Zap Comix. His magazine, Juxtapoz, became famous for a controversial artwork initially proposed for the record cover of "Appetite For Destruction" by Guns N' Roses. However, it was apparently too over the top for mass marketing and the artwork was moved to the inside of the LP and replaced with different piece of work. In addition to The Flesh Volcano and Guns N’ Roses several other bands also commissioned him for cover art during the 1980s and '90s including Divine Horsemen, Wall of Voodoo, Ludichrist, etc.
