Westworld was formed in 1986 and the name was taken from the sci-fi movie of the same name. The founding members were Bob “Derwood” Andrews previously of Generation X, on guitar, vocalist Elizabeth Westwood and their drummer Nick Burton. As per Wikipedia “Visually the band were styled in a way reminiscent of comic book art and musically they were a blend of classic 1950s rock and roll, glam and punk, updated with beatboxes and sequencer.” Some of their tracks were picked up by popular movies of that era like Point Break and Trains, Planes and Automobiles.
